ABOUT DR. DEBORAH ROSENTHAL IN STATEN ISLAND, NY

Our eye center is based in Staten Island and led by Dr. Deborah Rosenthal, a leading ophthalmologist and one of the most respected eye doctors in this region. Dr. Rosenthal has more than 25 years of experience.

Dr. Deborah Rosenthal is an ophthalmologist treating patients in Staten Island, New York, and the surrounding communities. She holds certification from the National Board of Medical Examiners and the American Board of Ophthalmology. Dr. Rosenthal is also a member of professional organizations including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Medical Association, and the International Association of Ocular Surgeons.

For her undergraduate degree, Dr. Rosenthal attended Rutgers College. She completed her master's degree in biomechanical engineering at the Polytechnic Institute of New York, followed by her medical degree at Sackler School of Medicine. Dr. Rosenthal received her residency training in ophthalmology at the State University of New York and completed a fellowship program through the Opthalmological Foundation of America in refractive surgery, cornea, and glaucoma.


Patients visiting Dr. Rosenthal can receive a full range of eye-care services. She provides comprehensive eye examinations, fittings for contact lenses and eyeglasses, developmental vision examinations, and general eye consultations for all age groups. Treatment is available for issues including eye misalignment, double vision, dry eye, and cataracts.
